Operations Manager (Banking)

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead and develop their Operations function. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, control, and continuous improvement of operational activities across the Bank. Duties include, but are not limited to: Lead the day-to-day performance of the Operations function. Oversee key operational areas Lead the implementation of operational change initiatives. Drive process improvement, automation, and digitisation across the function. Support the Bank's journey towards a data-driven and scalable operating model. Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary operations team. Support succession planning and reduce key-person dependencies through effective knowledge management. Oversee reconciliations, operational controls, break management, and audit readiness. Act as an escalation point for operational incidents and control issues. Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams to ensure regulatory and operational compliance. Develop and monitor key operational KPIs and service metrics. Utilise management information and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement. Required: Proven experience leading operational teams within banking or financial services. Experience balancing business-as-usual operations with strategic change programmes. Demonstrated success in process improvement and automation initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and management information. Strong knowledge of customer onboarding, transaction processing, reconciliations and controls and operational risk frameworks.
