About This Role
We are looking on behalf of our client for a Senior Data Analyst.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining data quality rules, standards, and validation frameworks for multiple data sources.
Monitoring and tracking data quality metrics, reporting discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
Ensure timely identification and resolution of data inconsistencies or anomalies.
Collaborate with the Reconciliations team to ensure accurate matching of transactions and records across systems.
Automate and optimize reconciliation processes using SQL, Python, or other analytical tools.
Maintain documentation of reconciliation workflows and data lineage for audit and compliance purposes.
Perform root cause analysis of data discrepancies and recommend solutions.
Generate periodic reports on data quality trends, exceptions, and process efficiency.
Provide actionable insights to support decision-making for business and operational teams.
Support the integration of new data sources into the corporate reconciliation framework.
Assist in training junior analysts and promoting data quality best practices across the department.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a numerical, financial, or technical field, such as Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
Proficiency in data manipulation (e.g. SQL, Python), data transformation, programming and scripting and technical knowledge of automation tools.
Experience with data quality tools and working with multiple heterogeneous data sources.
Proven track record of moving workflows from manual processes to streamlined, data-driven workflows that save time and enable businesses to scale.
Previous experience in e-money/payments, banking or corporate treasury is an advantage.
